Reporter Johnsen leaving Minneapolis/St. Paul Biz Journal

Britt Johnsen, who most recently covered residential real estate and manufacturing for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, is leaving the paper.

Her last day is Thursday.

Johnsen is becoming a content editor at Evans Larson, a public relations firm.

She joined the paper earlier this year after a nearly 12-year career at various outlets, most recently as a multimedia reporter at Southwest News Media with a focus on covering the Savage community. She also worked at 10 Missions Media, Patch and was a business editor at the St. Cloud Times for more than three years.

Johnsen has won several journalism awards, including the Sigma Delta Chi Award from the National Society of Professional Journalists and a first-place award from the Minnesota Newspaper Association for coverage of the Great Recession.

She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a B.A. In English with a minor in journalism.
