Business news site Quartz is about to launch a show called “Quartz News” on the global economy on Facebook Watch.

The weekly show, which will launch in mid July, will focus on a single news event or issue driving the global conversation. The goal is to serve as a smart radar on the news, helping consumers understand the economic and technological forces driving global events.

The show will draw on reporters such as Preeti Varathan, an economics and finance reporter in New York, and journalism from its news bureaus around the world in Asia, Africa, India, Europe and the Americas.

“Quartz News will innovate at the intersection of explanatory journalism and global field reporting, leveraging our journalists on five continents and our success at creating super-engaging digital video stories,” said Quartz executive editor Xana Antunes in a statement.

The show will be integrated with Quartz’s message bot on Facebook, which will encourage viewers to engage in conversations about the news, and ask users to send imagery they’ve shot around the world.
