Sue Decker, who has been covering patent litigation and policy at Bloomberg News for more than two decades, is retiring.

She has been based in its Washington bureau.

“I should add a giganto thanks to all the reporters, lawyers, analysts, and interested folks that I’ve worked with over the past two decades,” she wrote on Twitter. “Patents are by far the most fascinating area of the law and a great window into the future.”

Decker joined Bloomberg in September 1999. She previously spent five years as a reporter for Florida Today, a Gannett paper, and five years as a reporter for the Ocean County Observer in Toms River, New Jersey.

She went to college at Stockton State College, now Stockton University, in New Jersey.
