Joe Rutland has accepted a job to become the business editor of the Laredo Morning Times.
On his blog, Rutland writes, “There’s a lot of responsibility with this position. I know I can thrive and I’ll have a chance to meet a lot of wonderful businessmen and women in the Greater Laredo area. I look forward to embracing this challenge and staying focused, with intention, on my work. Also — it is my intention to have a social life. A REAL social life … not just saying it, but doing it.
“I feel peaceful, happy, grateful and blessed to have this job opportunity. I am filled with faith and trust and believe I will be taken care of every day.
“After all — it’s all grace.
“Once I get cranking on the Business beat, I’ll have stuff online through the Laredo paper’s Web site. If you feel so inclined, check it out. I’ll probably start in this role either Sept. 1 or 2.”
