Social-first media company The News Movement has hired Jessica Coen as its executive editor in the United States.
Coen’s hire comes as the organization prepares to launch in the United States in October.
Coen was chief content officer at Morning Brew, where she oversaw B2C content across platforms. She served as editor in chief and senior vice president of content at Mashable. She was also editor in chief of Vocativ and Jezebel.
Coen worked as deputy online editor at both the New York Magazine and Vanity Fair.
Coen graduated from the University of Michigan.
