Juan G. Ruiz, editor in chief of Money Under 30, an online personal finance site, has left to go freelance.
A part of his Tweet reads, “While its been a fun ride, it’s time to bet on myself and go all-in on a freelance writer/editor career. More time with family and not bound by a rigid 9-5 schedule is what I covet the most and there is no better time than now to make this monumental lifestyle/career change.”
As editor in chief, Ruiz oversaw an international team of editors and writers, coordinating and driving personal finance content. Previously, he was editor, credit cards at The Points Guy.
Ruiz worked freelance for Forbes and Business Insider.
Ruiz graduated from the University of Miami.
