Quartz membership editor Alex Ossola is leaving the news organization for a new opportunity.
She has been with the financial news site for nearly four years. Ossola started as deputy special projects editor and was later special projects editor.
Ossola was previously the managing editor and former features editor at Futurism, where she ran projects on topics like quantum computing and planetary exploration. Before that, she developed an impressive portfolio of health and science-related stories freelancing for sites like Popular Science, Atlantic, the Guardian, Fast Company, Nautilus, Newsweek, and more.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College and a master’s degree from New York University.
