Wall Street Journal reporter Jennifer Smith is leaving the newspaper after more than a decade.

She covered logistics, supply chain and the distribution networks that keep the economy moving. Her work includes front-page stories on shipping bottlenecks and supply-chain upheaval during the pandemic, stories about the rise of warehouse robots and autonomous trucks and coverage of how e-commerce is reshaping the logistics and retail sectors.

Smith has also written about drivers who cook in their truck cabs and the herculean distribution push behind the annual Girl Scout cookie sale.

She previously wrote about New York cultural institutions, law firms and corporate law. Before joining the Journal in 2011, Smith was a reporter at Newsday, where she won awards for her coverage of breaking news, the environment and politics.
