Javed departs WSJ for Time magazine

Ayesha Javed has left The Wall Street Journal and become a senior editor at Time magazine.

At The Journal, she was with WSJ Noted, a digital news and culture magazine targeted for readers under 35. Before that, she was an editor at WSJ Brief, which provides readers with concise content on business, markets, finance and current affairs.

Prior to joining the Journal, Javed was working as a senior business reporter at The Telegraph. She has also worked as an editor at Bloomberg.

In addition, she was also with Dow Jones for five years, starting at the company as news editor at Private Equity News. She then held the post of editor, special reports, Financial News and then served as managing editor at Private Equity News.

Javed has also covered leveraged finance, distressed debt, restructuring and private equity for Acuris and worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Javed holds a bachelors degree in economics and politics from Queen Mary University of London.
