Harvard Biz Review hires new creative director

HBR 2017 magazineJohn Korpics has been named creative director of Harvard Business Review.

He replaces James de Vries, who moved back to his native Australia and is now with the Sydney-based strategy consultancy 2nd Road.

Korpics has served as creative director for many of the country’s most celebrated publications: Fortune, InStyle, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, GQ, Premiere, and ESPN. For the past two years, he has served as marketing and communications director at Harlem Village Academies.

“John is one of the most talented and experienced designers in the business,” said HBR editor in chief Adi Ignatius in a statement. “His extensive chops in both print and digital will help us as we continue to innovate with new platforms and ways to deliver ideas.”

He holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Carnegie Mellon University.
