The Evening Standard has named Jonathan Prynn associate editor, business, across all platforms. In his new role, Prynn will lead the City team and continue to contribute front page stories, comment pieces and deep dive news features.
He steps into his new role on May 30.
Prynn joined in 1997 as an industrial editor and has covered property, retail, the economy, restaurants and travel. Since 2002, he has served as a consumer business editor.
Prynn began his career working for the financial newspaper Corporate Money. He was then hired by The Times’ business desk. There, he also worked as a transport correspondent and political correspondent.
Prynn was named “Consumer Writer of the Year” in 2006 by the London Press Club.
