Endpoints News has hired Jared Whitlock as a features editor.
Recently, he worked freelance for outlets, including the San Diego Union-Tribune, Patch.com and San Diego Magazine. He was a Knight Science journalism fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He formerly served as a health care, biotech and projects reporter at the San Diego Business Journal and was an associate editor at Encinitas Advocate, San Diego Union-Tribune Community Press.
He covered community affairs, ranging from crime to city council meetings for The Coast News Group in San Diego.
Whitlock has a B.A. in journalism from San Diego State University.
