Kate Tracy has joined the Denver Business Journal as its real estate reporter, reports Jonathan Rose of the Business Journal.

Rose writes, “Tracy’s role will complement DBJ’s current reporting as we double down on the beat with the addition of a second journalist focused on the metro region beyond the City and County of Denver.

“Current DBJ real estate reporter Jensen Werley will report primarily on development in the Mile High City’s core, while Tracy will focus more on suburban activity in the thriving counties surrounding Denver proper.

“‘Denver’s real estate scene is a never-ending pipeline of news,’ DBJ Editor-in-Chief Kourtney Geers said. ‘Kate will help us keep up with the action beyond the city’s core and into the suburban communities our readers increasingly call home.’

“As a reporter covering Denver for a local news outlet from 2017-19, Tracy was among the first to report on tech giants like Amazon, Salesforce and Slack entering the Denver market. She dug into property records, U.S. Securities and Exchange filings, bankruptcies and lawsuits to find stories that matter to a business audience; and she covered tech, fitness and other sectors in addition to her real estate coverage.”
