The Denver Business Journal has named Analisa Romano as its new money reporter.

A story on its website states, “Romano is a graduate of Golden High School and the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

“She is a former local government reporter at the Greeley Tribune, where she won a handful of Colorado Press Association and Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters awards — including a first-place CAPER award for breaking news on a Greeley shooting. She also earned first place in business writing from CAPER, CPA and Swift Communications for a story about the living quarters sprouting up to house oil and gas workers in Weld County.

“She has also worked as a marketing and communications professional and spent some time as an English-as-a-foreign-language teacher, brewery tour guide and, most recently, as a data journalist at a local tech startup.

“Romano also spent two years living in Spanish-speaking countries to intentionally improve her language skills.”
