Zubeck writes, “Amy Gillentine, publisher and executive editor of the Business Journal and the Indy, remains as CEO to steer the company into a new era, ‘which will include a greater emphasis on digital news, although there still will be a weekly print edition supporting our continued commitment to holding government accountable while also providing the best food and entertainment coverage in the region,’ she said.

“The Indy’s and Business Journal’s new status, however, will prevent the weekly from endorsing political candidates, although the editorial board will continue to weigh in on matters of public concern.

“‘I really, really want to emphasize that the mission hasn’t changed,’ Gillentine said. That includes ‘standing up for people who are marginalized. We won’t stop shining a light where it needs to be directed.'”
