Brady leaves Bloomberg Businessweek

Diane BradyDiane Brady, a senior editor at Bloomberg Businessweek, has left the magazine. Her last day was on Friday.

On her Facebook page, Brady said she was joining a new media venture.

Brady had been with the magazine since February 1999 and was one of the few that stayed with it after it was acquired by Bloomberg.

She has interviewed newsmakers worldwide for the magazine and at events from the World Business Forum to the APEC CEO Summit. She has also taken a lead role in developing cross-platform initiatives and partnerships to reach new audiences. She’s a frequent guest on NPR, BBC, and other networks, and has guest hosted shows for CNBC and the ABC radio network.

As senior editor/content chief, Brady managed corporate coverage and led a team of reporters. Her book “Fraternity” was named a hot pick by Vanity Fair and one of Amazon’s best books of 2012. It was also nominated for a 2013 NAACP Image Award.

She previously worked at the Wall Street Journal, Maclean’s in Canada, and the United Nations Environment Programme in Nairobi.

Brady is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
