Rachel Tobin, a business reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, resigned on Monday to accept a job with Jackson Spalding, a local public relations firm.

Here is the e-mail announcement from Glen Jackson:

Happy to report that Rachel Tobin will join the JS Squad on December 5!  Rachel has been with the AJC since 2008, covering commercial real estate and other business news.  She has more than 12 years of reporting experience, covering news for The Daily Report and the Atlanta Business Chronicle in addition to the AJC.  She is the current president of the Atlanta Press Club.

Earlier in her career, Rachel worked for the city of Atlanta in a legislative affairs role.  Rachel is a graduate of UC San Diego; she has degree in international relations and competed nationally in cycling.  She speaks French, Spanish and Portuguese and holds a masters in communications from Georgia State.

We are thrilled to have Rachel now working for our team.  She can’t wait to get here and get to work.
