Josh Sternberg has been hired as tech editor of Adweek.

He started on Monday.

Sternberg replaces Chris Heine, who left in October to join the Bateman Group, a public relations firm.

For the past 18 months, Sternberg has been director of branded content at NBC News, leading a team of content producers to create high quality, journalistic-style content for brands across properties such as the “Today” show and MSNBC, among others.

Before that, he was a content strategist for The Washington Post, guiding the development of its branded content. He also oversaw a network of writers, producers, videographers, and interactive graphic designers to execute on ideas sold to clients.

Sternberg also worked at Digiday.

He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from William Paterson University in New Jersey.
