Yahoo Sports seeks an executive producer

Yahoo Sports is seeking an experienced and creative Executive Producer to build and scale its content production, reporting directly to the Head of Content. In this role, you will oversee all facets of content production including video, audio, and other multi-media. You will create and execute a comprehensive strategy to streamline production processes, increase consumption, and drive revenue on first and third-party platforms. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record of building and leading successful, multi-faceted, and creative content organizations.

About the Role: 

As Executive Producer, Yahoo Sports you are expected to:

  • Create and execute a strategy to increase reach, consumption, and revenue across first-party and third-party platforms
  • Build, scale, and manage a video production and editing team across all formats including live, VOD, long-form, short-form, and more
  • Manage and expand Yahoo’s audio and podcasting team and associated strategy
  • Devise and execute “foundational” and breakthrough video franchises
  • Create and manage best-in-class content production processes and systems to create content efficiently both on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with social media team to build engaging “social-first” content to drive consumption and growth across all platforms
  • Manage all aspects on-location content capture and associated video library
  • Collaborate with revenue strategy team to create and cultivate sponsorable content franchises
  • Create measurable content goals and drive accountability and efficiency

About You: 

  • BS/BA required
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of content production and publishing across video, audio, social media, and more
  • 10+ years experience scaling and leading best-in-class content organizations (sports and entertainment preferred)
  • Strategic thinker and leader capable of devising and executing a content strategy that measurably supports company priorities
  • Terrific teammate with positive attitude, solution-oriented mindset and ability to effectively communicate across an organization

The compensation for this position ranges from $150,015.00 – $326,390.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.
