You are an enterprising journalist or producer with experience in the field of business journalism. You take initiative and are a self-starter. You work well with others. You have high journalistic standards. You love to break news, get scoops and do big interviews. You have strong social media skills. You work well with a team in a multidisciplinary environment.

You Must Have

  • A Bachelors degree, ideally with a degree in Journalism or English
  • Experience in the field of business journalism
  • Strong journalistic standards
  • Be a self-starter with high initiative
  • Social media skills
  • A love for the color purple

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
