Yahoo Finance seeks a Breaking News Reporter to write posts covering top news that you would expect to see leading all business news sites. Examples: major earnings announcements, market-moving high-frequency economic news, major policy announcements, M&A, management turnover, etc.

Responsibilities
-Identify and write finance news stories for the front page of Yahoo Finance
-Field academic and Wall St. research relating to news stories
-Coordinate with editors so that the news of the day is being covered
-Lead various breaking news functions, including push alerts and tweets
-Appear on live shows when needed to discusses news topics

Skills/Requirements
-Deep knowledge of financial markets, economics, and general business matters
-Superior communication skills with an ability to translate complex financial topics into “English”
-Ability to draft posts quickly, and update stories in real time
-Excellent news judgement, particularly relating to news that can move markets
