Xconomy seeks tech reporter in Boston

Xconomy.com, the premier network of business/technology news sites, is looking for a talented and enthusiastic journalist on the ground in the Boston area to help us expand our coverage of the area’s tech and startup scene.

We seek out stories from all corners of technology and innovation, including software and the Web, biotech and drug development, energy and cleantech, and entrepreneurship and venture capital–so this is a great job for a journalist who has experience with a variety of beats and enjoys learning new ones. This is a full-time position with one of the fastest growing biz/tech news networks in the country.

The ideal candidate will be a resourceful researcher, fearless interviewer, and swift writer with tech and business news experience and the skills to produce news stories and features on a daily schedule.

A great team attitude and the ability to work independently (but in close coordination with the team) are key, a sense of humor is nonnegotiable, and a facility for Web publishing tools and social media are a big plus. Xconomy produces a number of conferences and other events each year, so experience with event planning and speaker recruitment is desirable as well.

If this sounds like you, write us at jobs@xconomy.com. Tell us about yourself, your knowledge of the Boston tech and startup community, and why you think you’d be a great fit with Xconomy–and don’t forget a resume and clips.
