The position involves leading a global team of Heard writers, directing coverage and editing for all editions of the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires and WSJ.com at http://wsj.com/ .
Candidates should have a global view of markets and deep knowledge of financial analysis, investing and companies. The ideal candidate should relish setting the agenda on corporate, financial and markets stories and have the ability to weigh in on multiple sectors as well as economic developments.
The position involves overseeing teams of columnists in the U.S., Europe and Asia while fostering a collaborative approach. Strong writing, communication and editing skills are essential, as is the ability to champion the Heard brand both internally and externally. Candidates should have digital knowledge, but also be comfortable with print, as well as have several years writing, editing and management experience.
