The Australia bureau of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones is seeking an enterprising corporate reporter to lead coverage of many of the country’s largest and most dynamic industries.

The ideal candidate will be able to break news regularly on sectors ranging from casinos to airlines, and chronicle how companies are adjusting to a period of rapid global change driven by a slowing China and a recovering U.S. economy.

Whether it’s the ups and downs of Qantas to the big winemakers targeting Asia’s rich, the beat offers plenty of scope for colorful narratives, profiles and exclusives about the personalities and companies that dominate each industry.

We’re looking for a financially savvy reporter with extensive experience of writing in-depth stories, breaking news and filing across online and real-time platforms.

The job, based in Sydney, requires close collaboration with editors in Hong Kong and provides opportunities to write broader industry pieces with fellow corporate reporters in bureaus around the world.
