The Wall Street Journal seeks an accomplished news leader to oversee general news coverage across 15 Western states from Texas to Hawaii.
The right candidate will possess the ability to pivot between big breaking news such as major crime sprees to deeply reported features on issues such as religion, immigration, aging infrastructure, and domestic terrorism.
This role requires someone with the skill, knowledge and journalistic savvy to lead and edit world-class journalists in a fast-paced news environment that serves all of the digital and print channels of a global news organization. The role will be based on the West Coast, but will manage reporters spread across the region and in different time zones.
Applications should include a resume and cover letter.
