WSJ seeks video journalist

The Wall Street Journal Digital Network seeks a Video Journalist with specific experience in the field of guest booking and video segment production with 5+ Years of booking, writing and video production experience for WSJ’s daily live programs, special taped interviews and special events.

Excellent editorial judgment, strong organizational, creativity and teamwork skills a must. This position also requires the ability to work in high pressure, deadline oriented news environment.  Interest and experience in both hard and feature news a plus.

Responsibilities include:

-Pitching segment ideas

-Booking and researching high profile guests for programs and special events (including newsmakers, business leaders, innovators, politicians, thought leaders, celebrities etc.)

-Assist producer with live show duties (like writing intros, creating graphics and choosing video elements based on booked guest segment)

-Working with talent and editors (reporters &editors) to plan and execute video packages based on pitched ideas

Skills:

-5+ years experience working in web and/or broadcast television/media

-Demonstrated ability to book high profile guests

-Experience with shooting, editing and producing video packages

-BA degree or equivalent required
