The Wall Street Journal is seeking a reporter to cover venture capital and the wider universe of technology startups for our subscriber newsletter, our Venture Capital Dispatch blog and the digital and print editions of the Journal.
Getting scoops is a priority, but the successful candidate should also be able to write breaking news with the versatility to deliver analysis and features for print readers of The Wall Street Journal.
Candidates should have deep sources within the venture and tech industry as well as knowledge of the landscape in which they operate. With reporting on Dow Jones VentureSource data in our purview, those with a background in data-driven journalism are encouraged to apply.
The position is based in San Francisco but consideration will be given for the right candidate based in New York.
