WSJ seeks two China reporters

The Wall Street Journal is looking for two reporters to dive into some of the biggest stories in Asia with special attention to China. You will focus on important political and general news with a premium on scoops and well-told stories of the people caught up in events.

You will also bring insider reporting and smart context to bear on major breaking news stories. You will work with the Journal’s broader China team to produce exclusive, high-impact coverage of a story that is defining our age.

The ideal candidate is an endlessly curious, well sourced reporter who closely follows news about China and the region and can quickly get to the heart of big, complex news events. You will need to be an ambitious self-starter with excellent news judgment.

Significant experience working for major international publications is required. Fluency in Chinese and a track record of breaking hard to get news are essential, as are excellent news judgment and solid writing. Location is up for discussion but would be in a major Asian capital such as Hong Kong or Singapore.
