The Wall Street Journal is seeking an industrious, ambitious and tech-savvy reporter to cover the interplay between technology and consumers.
This reporter will be part of our personal-technology team, and will produce news-driven articles and visual journalism about how changes in products and services affect the people who use them, and also write product reviews.
The ability to think creatively about the subject matter and how to present it to readers–in text, video, graphical or other form, across platforms–is essential. So is the capacity to work smoothly and productively with beat reporters and others on our tech team.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with at least four years of reporting experience, strong writing and multimedia chops, and a working knowledge of current gadgets, software and services, as well as security and privacy issues. This person will also play an important role in our tech team’s social-media efforts, and should be savvy about engaging readers in creative ways.
This position is based in San Francisco.
Applications should include a cover letter, resume, and up to five published clips.
