The Wall Street Journal is seeking a senior editor who will oversee the CIO Journal.
The role includes assigning and working with reporters to shape their stories, editing copy, reporting and writing the Morning Download; and coordinating with the San Francisco bureau and other corporate desks as appropriate to broaden and deepen technology coverage by the WSJ proper.
The role also involves soliciting and accepting guest posts for CIO Journal and ensuring that the site and newsletter include aggregation of relevant news stories from the WSJ and other top sources.
The editor of CIO Journal also interacts regularly with product management to discuss changes to product design and functionality, and to discuss the refinement of publishing tools.
The CIO Journal editor is also expected to represent the publication at select industry events, notably by moderating panel discussions that allow us to build our brand.
