WSJ seeks reporter to cover law enforcement agencies

The Wall Street Journal’s Law Bureau is seeking a hard-hitting, enterprising journalist to cover New York’s enforcement agencies.

The right candidate will be expected to deliver scoops and lead coverage of investigations emanating from the U.S. Attorney’s offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the New York state attorney general and the Manhattan DA. The successful candidate will produce pack-leading work on white-collar crime, enforcement trends and legal developments on Wall Street.

Previous reporters on this beat have helped break news on the government’s massive investigation into insider trading, high-profile cybercrimes, money laundering and tax scams. Candidates should have a proven ability to develop deep sources, ideally in the federal and state enforcement community and the white collar bar. Also required is the ability to drive coverage while working closely with reporters across the paper.
