As Israel moves to normalize diplomatic relations with the Persian Gulf monarchies, its role in the region is shifting sharply, as is the relationship between Israel and the Palestinians. Israel’s vibrant and increasingly influential tech industry is also of enormous interest to our readers.
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience writing incisive and colorful enterprise and breaking news. A track record of working in hostile environments is desired but not essential. Hebrew and/or Arabic would be a plus. Knowledge of the region is strongly preferred, but not a deal-breaker.
You can be based in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. The deadline to apply for this role is March 5, as we’re looking for someone to start by June.
You will report to the Middle East Bureau Chief. Those interested should contact Middle East Bureau Chief Peter Wonacott and World Coverage Chief Gordon Fairclough.
