WSJ seeks reporter to cover futures exchanges

May 26, 2016

The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter to cover the world of futures exchanges.

It is an all-encompassing beat with responsibility for everything from company performance to market structure to regulation to margin calls.

The names on this beat — Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Intercontinental Exchange — loom large in the world of finance, and with good reason. They own the markets that help set the price of everything from interest rate futures to oil.

To cover them we’re looking for someone who has deep experience in these areas, is a flexible self-starter with a good ear for the issues that have the industry buzzing, and can write.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
