This position will involve responsibility for real-time news coverage of listed equities and macroeconomic data of key Southeast Asian markets, specifically in Singapore and Malaysia.
While assisting in newswires coverage for the bureaus, the reporter will also take on a companies or markets reporting beat, and is expected to break news on the sector. The reporter will also write and contribute to Wall Street Journal enterprise pieces relating to news developments in Southeast Asia as needed.
There has been strong demand for real-time news coverage of Southeast Asia and this new position will provide a much-needed boost to our news gathering capabilities and story volumes from the region.
