WSJ seeks politics news editor

July 28, 2019

Posted by Chris Roush

The Wall Street Journal is looking for skilled, experienced, dynamic news editors to join the Politics team as it ramps up to cover the 2020 presidential election and beyond.

The positions, which report to the Politics Editor, will involve guiding and editing small teams of reporters within the Politics team to ensure that we have peerless breaking news, analysis, in-depth features and creative presentation for our politics coverage.

We are looking for editors who can help conceive and drive coverage, provide mentorship and story guidance to reporters, and edit stories expertly and in keeping with the fundamental principles of WSJ journalism: accuracy, fairness, objectivity and clean, lively writing.

At least five years of editing and/or reporting experience is preferred. Applicants should include a cover letter, resume and examples of edited work.
