WSJ seeks pharma reporter in London

The Wall Street Journal’s London corporate bureau is seeking an experienced, insightful reporter to cover the U.K. pharmaceutical industry.

The U.K. is home to some of the world’s largest drug companies, such as GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca, along with a burgeoning array of biotech and research firms.

British pharma is at the heart of many key global issues, from tax inversions and other cross-border mergers to the rise of health-care costs. The reporter in this role would be expected to break news on the beat and to work collaboratively with Journal colleagues around the region and the world.

We’re looking for someone who can efficiently and intelligently turn out everything from spot-news articles and 100-word Market Talk items to in-depth analyses for the Marketplace front and Page One. The role requires a minimum of five years of reporting experience, with prior knowledge of pharma or health care appreciated but not necessary.

Adeptness at conceiving graphics, using social media and appearing on video would be a plus.
