WSJ seeks Pentagon reporter

The Wall Street Journal’s Washington bureau is seeking a reporter to cover the Defense Department and security issues more generally.

This reporter will join the Journal’s award-winning national-security team, on the Pentagon beat. This job involves coverage of security threats, military operations, the fight against terrorism and more general defense matters.

Knowledge of national-security issues is helpful. Ability to break news and write on deadline, while also conceiving broader feature and enterprise news stories is essential.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
