The Wall Street Journal seeks a news editor for the World News Desk in New York to work with our international bureaus on news and features and help ensure we are competitive online and on wires both in speed and substance, and distinctive in our depth and our choices of stories.

This person would help select what’s worthy of our reporters’ and readers’ attention and time amid many news demands, and help ensure top-notch execution wherever we choose to spend our resources — sometimes performing rewrite as well as editing. Experience overseas, in the field or directing reporters, is a plus for this job; so is experience with balancing real-time spot news with longer-term features, analysis and enterprise stories.

Please attach a resume, cover letter and three to five published clips to your online application.
