The Wall Street Journal is seeking an editor with strong news judgment, speed, creativity and tech savvy to help manage the WSJ.com mobile website.

Working at the center of the newsroom on the newly formed Real Time News Desk, the successful candidate will help edit the mobile homepage and make daily decisions about packaging, presenting and delivering stories to our growing mobile audience. The editor will also work closely with mobile editors on app publishing for tablets, smart phones and other devices.

The candidate should be able to work to tight deadlines, deal with breaking news and troubleshoot editorial and publishing challenges. He or she will be expected to work with different news departments to help craft graphics and multimedia for mobile devices. The job offers an opportunity to help shape and develop the output of our global news organization.

Candidates should have at least four years of post-college journalism experience, including strong editing skills and familiarity with online publishing. Familiarity with mobile technology and trends is desirable. Experience working with interactive graphics and photo and video editing software would be a plus, but is not essential.

Please attach a resume, cover letter and three to five published clips to your online application.
