WSJ seeks investment banking editor in London

November 28, 2014

Posted by Chris Roush

The most high-profile specialist financial publication in Europe is seeking a talented editor to lead coverage of investment banking in Europe, charting the triumphs and mishaps of Europe’s investment banks and the European operations of the big US players.

The team’s coverage ranges over M&A, IPOs, bankers’ bonuses, and war for talent raging between the big players and the new wave of boutiques.

It’s a job for someone who loves breaking news and knows how to network at the very top levels of European finance.

The editor must lead from the front and do a substantial amount of reporting.

Almost all the major financial firms in London subscribe to FN. We print more than 20,000 copies a week of our A3 newspaper and our recently relaunched web platform, now featuring a range of interactive graphics and other sophisticated online tools, draws very high traffic.

We are part of Dow Jones, the group publishing the Wall Street Journal and one of the world’s largest financial media groups, and the editor is expected to work closely with WSJ colleagues on coverage. FN’s newsroom is moving to the state-of-the-art News Building beside London Bridge station. Dow Jones offers the staff benefits expected of a large multinational employer.

If you feel that this position matches your skills, please send a CV and covering letter to recruit001@dowjones.com
