WSJ seeks investing and taxes reporter

The Wall Street Journal is seeking a dynamic reporter to cover investment products, investment strategies and taxes.

As part of the Wealth group, this reporter will spot market trends and write real-time pieces for the wires quickly and accurately.

The successful candidate will have proven knowledge of investing, taxes and wealth management, be a demonstrated news breaker and sourcer, and have an eye for spotting news and information that would be useful to advisers and other readers with an interest in wealth stories. Coverage of wealth topics will be of particular interest to Newswires readers and coverage will be tailored to serve this audience.

This role will report to the Wealth Editor and is based in New York.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
