WSJ seeks “Heard on the Street” editor in Hong Kong

The “Heard on the Street” is looking for an editor to run its team of three reporters in Hong Kong.

The editor will be part of The Wall Street Journal’s premiere section for commentary and analysis on markets, economics and companies.

We are looking for a candidate who can combine a sophisticated understanding of Asia’s economies and businesses with the ability to present smart commentary in a concise, lively style. Columns will cover everything from China’s monetary policy to Japan’s auto makers to fundraising for tech startups to tax reform in India.

The editor is expected to write, manage the staff and work closely with the bureaus in the region.

The position reports to the “Heard on the Street” editor, who is based in New York and is part of the paper’s Money & Investing team. Knowledge of Asia and language skills are a plus but not a requirement. Previous experience with commentary and financial analysis are essential.

Dow Jones offers an opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading financial and business news companies.

We invite interested candidates to submit a cover letter and detailed resume (including up to five published samples of your work), current and expected salary here.
