WSJ seeks health and science reporter

The Wall Street Journal is looking for an experienced journalist to join our Health & Science team covering health and medicine.

We are looking for a reporter who can unravel the complex societal, economic and ethical issues on this beat, which includes the practice of medicine, the burden of disease, and the challenges for our mental-health system. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling breaking news under deadline pressure, nailing big scoops, and producing ambitious, revelatory enterprise journalism.

The job requires the ability to think creatively about storytelling in a variety of forms, from long-form narratives to videos, podcasts and graphics.

The right reporter will have the opportunity to produce memorable, high-impact journalism on health issues that are central to our economy, our society and the lives of our readers.

Experience covering health or medicine is a plus but not a requirement. The job is based in New York.
