The Journal seeks a reporter to lead its coverage of trading and financial markets. This position requires deep sources on Wall Street among high-speed trading firms, hedge funds and stock exchanges, and the ability to generate market-moving scoops as well as deeply-reported Page One features illustrating how technology is changing the way companies and individuals invest.
This is a core beat for the paper, demanding a reporter who can build the trust and respect of billionaires while maintaining a commitment to the reader over the industry.
The ideal candidate will have extensive sources on Wall Street and at least five years of experience writing breaking news and features for a major media outlet.
