The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter to cover financial markets in New York.

You will join a team that delivers fast, smart news and thoughtful, long-form explanatory journalism on markets and on the people and forces that influence them.

We are seeking a news-driven thinker capable of explaining the complexities of finance for a sophisticated and hungry audience, and uncovering what and who are driving financial markets.

We especially prize reporters capable of seeing across asset classes and connecting their movements to wider themes, and able to work with large datasets and think visually.

We need someone flexible enough to develop specialized knowledge as the needs of the markets news cycle demand.

This is a role for a journalist who has experience covering financial markets. We will also consider candidates with extensive reporting experience elsewhere and an aptitude for finance or related fields. You will be part of our financial-markets group and report to a markets editor.
