Wall Street JournalThe Wall Street Journal is looking to hire a financial enterprise reporter.

This position will focus on reporting enterprise stories, including breaking news and investigations, in the world of finance.

The reporter will develop stories alone and in collaboration with beat reporters and other enterprise team members with an emphasis on revealing new information on the global flows of money, the people controlling that money, and the people affected by their work.

This may include banks, hedge funds, insurance companies, private-equity investors, sovereign-wealth funds, and anyone else moving big sums of money. The priority will be digging up information that is previously unreported with an eye towards stories that financial institutions would prefer to keep private.

The reporter will be expected to conceive and deliver investigative projects and to cultivate sources in the industry to generate scoops. Stories can include probing profiles of key industry players and data-driven approaches to explaining opaque transactions.
