The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter with plenty of energy to cover oil and gas markets in real time.

This person will work with a specialized commodities team around the world to drive coverage of energy markets mostly for our newswires platform. The reporter will file on market-moving news, such as refinery outages or labor disputes.

He or she will report on the cash energy markets and the bunker market. The reporter will look to break news on all these topics to inform our customers’ real-time trading and business decisions. It will also require monitoring minute-by-minute moves in global energy markets, talking to traders and investors to stay ahead of the curve.

Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring accuracy and timeliness, is essential. The position is based in London and covers Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
