This reporter will cover all aspects of education from kindergarten through high school, including federal, state and local policies, innovation in education and the growing use of technology in classrooms.
The job requires someone well versed in coverage of student performance, international competitiveness, teachers and teacher unions, and charter, private and parochial schools.
The successful candidate should be able to sift through data to find trends and hold the education system accountable, identify interesting people for profiles, be ready to jump on spot news, and carve out time to get into the classroom.
