The Wall Street Journal is looking for a regional chief based at our New York City headquarters to run general news coverage on the East Coast.
This role offers the opportunity to cover the most significant news events in America in collaboration with our other regional teams. The right candidate will be a veteran editor who is equally adept at managing fast-breaking stories in real time and leading deep dives into key issues.
We’re looking for a digitally savvy leader who can handle everything from regional economies and politics to crime, courts and natural disasters. With reporters from Boston to Miami, the regional chief also will need to be well versed in leading remote teams.
