WSJ seeks editor for weekend Business & Finance section

The Wall Street Journal is looking for an editor for its weekend Business & Finance section.

Job duties:

Oversee commissioning and editing of feature stories, columns and visual journalism for a weekly section about the week’s news in business and finance.

Manage the publication during the week across all digital platforms, culminating in a print section.

Must have significant experience conceiving and editing feature stories, columns and other recurring fixtures; constructing and pacing the architectural elements of an inviting feature section; managing an editing staff; managing complex and sensitive news stories.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
